Dayspring Church Limited is committed to protecting your privacy when collecting and handling your personal information. This Privacy Policy sets out, generally, how your personal information is managed.

Collection of Personal Information

Dayspring Church Limited collects personal information necessary for us to carry out its functions and activities such as:
Information required for the attending of events, services and gatherings
To provide you with information you have requested from us
To enable Dayspring to respond to feedback forwarded to us via our website 
Process payments 
To provide you with church news and updates
To meet our legal obligations relating to duty of care, child protection, insurance, first aid, safe church reporting, volunteer and employment details.  

Personal information that we may collect includes: names and home address, phone numbers, email addresses, family members details (including next of kin), payment or credit card details, and sensitive information including beliefs and health or medical history. For volunteers and staff this includes qualifications, Working with Childrens Check and can include Police Checks and relevant employment records.  

We may disclose your personal information to third party organizations such as contractors who assist us in operation of our businesses to enable those contractors to perform functions on our behalf. We may also disclose your personal information to organizations who provide services and benefits to persons with whom we do business to enable those persons to effectively carry out those services and provide those benefits. Where information is disclosed to such third parties we will seek to prohibit the third party from using your personal information except for the specific purpose for which we supply it.

Website and Database

Dayspring Church Incorporated uses Planning Center Church database system and website for the storage of your information. 

Our website collects relevant Internet Data, which includes webpage views, IP address, referring web site addresses, location, browser type, operating system, domain name, access times and other data typically collected by analytics services including Google Analytics. 

Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help us analyse how you use our website. 

Cookies are used to store information, such as the time that the current visit occurred, whether you have been to the site before and what site referred you to our web page.

You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of our website.

Personal Information is securely stored and protected from unauthorised access.

DaySpring will only collect personal information by lawful and fair means and not in an unreasonably intrusive way.

Updates to volunteer information is to be through the relevant department head
Updates related to Safe Church information is to be directed to the WHS Champion.
