About the Role: The Community Support Pastor serves as a shepherd within the Dayspring family, faithfully coordinating and delivering pastoral care across our church community. This role exists to ensure that every expression of care reflects the vision, values, and culture established by church leadership, and above all, remains grounded in biblical truth and ethical integrity.
Key Responsibilities:1. Strategic Vision & Culture Building
Partnering with the Senior Pastors to design, implement, and champion a church-wide strategy that fosters a strong, Christlike culture of care across all departments.
2. Team Leadership & Training
Leading the pastoral care ministry teams by designing and delivering training to equip leaders and volunteers to provide empathetic, confidential, and biblically sound support.
3. Direct Pastoral Care & Ministry
Providing hands-on spiritual and relational support to the congregation, including hospital and home visitations, bereavement support, and facilitating referrals to professional services when necessary.
4. Service Engagement & Spiritual Leadership
Actively contributing to church services and events by teaching discipleship, cultivating a welcoming atmosphere, identifying pastoral needs during gatherings, and extending hospitality.
5. Pastoral Administration & Coordination
Managing the logistical side of pastoral care, including coordinating practical support (such as meals and flowers), communicating congregational needs to the team, and maintaining accurate, confidential records.
