Panel on Ephesians
Thank you for joining us as we wrap up our 'Keeping it Real' series on Ephesians with a Q&A panel.
Some great questions and rich answers!
In Ps Aarons closing words he reminds us of the transformative power of first love in our spiritual journey. From the key scripture, Revelation 2:1-5, where Jesus addresses the church in Ephesus, we're challenged to remember, repent, and return to our first love for Christ. This parallels our own lives, where the initial excitement of faith can sometimes fade amidst life's challenges.
He drew on the analogy of smelling freshly baked garlic bread to illustrate how God is stirring up a hunger for His presence in the church today. We're encouraged to examine our hearts and respond to this invitation for renewal. The message emphasises that true impact comes from intimacy with God, not just good deeds. As we reflect on our own faith journey, we're invited to rekindle that first love, restructure our lives around Jesus, and return to a place of awe and wonder in our relationship with Him.
REFLECTIONS
What stood out to you most from the Panel Q&A? What will you apply to your life from that?
Reflect on your own faith journey. Can you describe a time when you experienced "first love" for Jesus? What was that like? Has anything changed since then?
Ps Aaron mentioned three steps: Remember, Repent, and Return. Which of these do you feel you need to focus on most right now? What could that look like?
Set aside 15 minutes each day this week for uninterrupted prayer, focusing on rekindling your love for Jesus.
Thanks again for joining us. We pray you were blessed.
