Moving Mountains
In this opening message of our new series, Real Faith, we peel back the layers of religious jargon to discover the true heart of biblical faith: relational trust. Looking at the powerful narratives in Matthew 17, where the disciples fail to heal a suffering boy, and Matthew 14, where Peter sinks into the waves, we confront a common human experience, intimidation. By exploring the original Greek context, we uncover the difference between being completely faithless (apistos) and experiencing a temporary poverty or fracture of faith (oligo pistia). When faced with overwhelming, mountain-sized crises, our faith can easily shift from radical reliance on God to panic and self-sufficiency. But Jesus' response isn't rejection; it's a compassionate invitation. Discover how even a mustard-seed-sized shift back toward Jesus can realign our hearts, break the grip of fear, and unlock the power of a lifestyle rooted in prayer and alignment with the Father's will.
