Living as Ones for the Other

"What does it truly mean to live as a "one for the other"" in your relationship with God and others?

Colossians 3:1-4 (Message Version) "So if you're serious about living this new resurrection life with Christ, act like it. Pursue the things over which Christ presides. Don't shuffle along, eyes to the ground, absorbed with the things right in front of you. Look up, and be alert to what is going on around Christ—that's where the action is. See things from his perspective. Your old life is dead. Your new life, which is your real life—even though invisible to spectators—is with Christ in God. He is your life."

Ps Wayne's closes out our "One Anothers" series by diving into the essence of relational living in the kingdom of God, highlighting the importance of the ""one another"" commands in scripture. By loving others as Christ loves us, we display the nature of God and draw others into a life-transforming relationship with Him. This outpouring of love stems from our union with Jesus, characterised by kindness, compassion, and humility, among other virtues. Our life in Christ challenges us to live as neighbours to everyone, reflecting God's unconditional love and fostering reconciliation.

1. How can you actively set your mind on things above in your daily routine?

2. What are some practical ways you can express agape love to those around you, even when it's challenging?

3. In what areas of your life do you need to embrace your identity in Christ more fully, letting go of old habits and fears?
