Dear Church,

Prepare the Way has always been about investing into our future. About looking forward through eyes of faith, capturing who it is that God has called us to be, what it is that God requires of us so we might fully embrace our future. It is the coming together of vision & mission, community & generosity.

As we were praying for our upcoming Prepare the Way offering at the end of August, we felt God speak to us about wisdom.

Proverbs 24:3–4 says, By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures.

Eugene Peterson writes that Wisdom is the art of living skilfully in whatever actual conditions we find ourselves.

God is calling us to be a people who know how to live skilfully in the times and conditions we find ourselves in. To be skilful in our relationships, our families, our marriages. To be skilful in business and finance. To be skilful in living flourishing, compelling lives.

It's not enough for us to be people of high principle, people of high moral values. We need to be people of divine wisdom. Wisdom helps us to understand what is really happening in our world, but more than that, wisdom is the ability to bring Godly answers into the problems we are facing. To bring divine justice, joining God is His mission of restoring things back to the way they ought to be.

Dayspring it really is our great joy to serve and partner with you. The last couple of years have thrown up some challenges, but look what God is doing. People are being added to our community, we are seeing healings, salvations and beautiful miracles and encounters. We have to faith to believe that as we are take up the call to prepare the way we will only see an increase of God’s kingdom breaking in resulting in even more miracles, salvations and lives transformed for the glory of God.

We invite you to take time to prayerfully consider how you might join in and give to the work God will do through us in the years to come, to ask God to show you the part you are to play as we prepare the ay this year.
